Why Teach With Ignis?

In Latin, ignis means fire or passion. We created Ignis Arts to bring to life our fire and passion for ballroom dancing. Three core values drive everything we do at Ignis:

1. Connection Centered Approach to Dancing – Partner dancing is a language, not just a skillset. Whether you are social dancing with a beginner or executing advanced gold patterns in competition, we believe in teaching from the fundamentals of connection and communication.
2. Joy-Filled Community On and Off the Dancefloor– We create a welcoming space where dancers feel confident, supported, and inspired—no matter their style, experience, or motivation. Our goal is to help every student discover joy, community, and meaningful connection both on and off the dance floor.
3. Artist-Centered Space – We root our work in the local dance ecosystem, supporting artists, organizers, and the vibrant Boston social dance scene.

Ignis Arts is a small but growing studio—only a year old—and we’re looking for team members who want to help us build not just a school, but a thriving, connected dance community.
